PA-43 - Pennsylvania Turnpike, Jefferson Hills PA (June 2024 - Present)
This project is probably one of our biggest turnpike jobs yet. With regular concrete placements varying from 50 to 2000 yards, it’s been very busy to say the least. The work is for a long stretch of roadway that will likely not end anytime soon. So as long as the contractor will have us, we’ll plan on seeing this through to the end, wherever that winds up being.
Hampton Township Water Pollution Control Facility, Allison Park PA (2022 - Present)
Since December of 2022, our team has been hard at work testing concrete on this project. With many of the concrete placements exceeding 200 yards in material, it’s certainly been one of our larger water treatment jobs so far.
White Oak Bridges - Lincoln Way & Jacks Run Road, White Oak (July 2024 - October 2024)
In the summer of 2024 we were also doing concrete testing for a client involving small road bridges in White Oak. Work needed to be doing quickly, so it was common for us to test on the weekends, or the early in the morning around 3 and 4am. We’ve been told there may also be another bridge nearby, so we may be back at it again later this construction season too.
Wilkins Avenue County Roads Project, Braddock Hills PA (2023 - 2024)
The concrete testing on Wilkins Avenue was pretty consistent, despite being a smaller project. Specific work included a moment slab, a wall, and inlets, with asphalt work following after. This project came and went quicker than we first imagined, but we’re glad we were still given a part to play in it.
